Bright Town seek to escape the confusion and malaise of the modern world through music that touches upon the painful truths that connect us all. Taking cues from Laurel Canyon Americana, 2000s chamber pop, and the new wave of alt-country, the band distill modern cynicism through a pop songwriting lens to land somewhere between Wilco, Clean Cut Kid and Midlake. After building a reputation in their native Liverpool for a no-frills show drenched in four-part harmonies, supporting the likes of Michael Head, Trudy & The Romance, The Dream Machine, and Jamie Webster, the five-piece followed the release of their 2022 EP ‘Smithereens!’ with multiple sold-out hometown headlines, appearances at Norway’s Blåfrost Festival, Camden’s The Old Blue Last, and features in Gigwise and Liverpool Noise. After an intense period of writing and recording in early 2024, they are set to release a run of singles in late 2024 showcasing their most honest and focused songwriting efforts yet.
